Why are you called Wrinkle Free You when you seem to offer so many other treatments too?
Anti-wrinkle treatments are a significant part of our business, and lots of our clients are interested in that but it’s true that we offer lots more besides, Dermal Fillers, Skin Peels and Eyelash Growth Treatments
About wrinkle injections
Botulinum is a purified protein which when injected, temporarily blocks chemical messages from the nerve to the muscle leading to relaxation in the treated muscle. Frown lines, worry lines and laughter lines are all caused by the repeated contractions of facial muscles. Relaxing these muscles with wrinkle injections is a quick, safe and effective way to smooth and soften wrinkles.
How quickly will I notice an effect?
You will be able to return to your normal daily activities immediately following treatment. There will be no visible changes. The full effect of the treatment will develop over the following 2–14 days.
How does Botox therapy work?
By using facial muscles repeatedly throughout a lifetime, the skin becomes creased in the areas used most. The ageing process causes collagen and elastin production in the skin to slow down so that, as we get older, these areas of over-use become damaged and the lines become permanent. By reducing the movement of muscles in these areas, the skin stops being creased and is allowed to recover, causing the lines to soften or even fade away. In the areas treated, the muscles are temporarily (always reversibly) inactivated, during which time the patient can break the subconscious habit of overusing these muscles. Depending on each individual and the dose used, the response to treatment can vary from a relaxation of the muscles to an inability to move them.
How long will the treatments last?
This varies from individual to individual, but most people tend to have 3-4 treatments over the course of the first year. The duration of effect often increases with each repeat treatment meaning you may need less treatments in the future.
What is does the wrinkle-treatment process feel like? Does it hurt?
The process involves lots of tiny injections just beneath the skin with an extremely small needle. Before the procedure we always apply a local anaesthetic, numbing cream or ice to the injection areas. After the treatment you can go back to work or play immediately.
Are results guaranteed?
The vast majority of our clients tell us that they are very happy with the results of the treatments we provide (see some testimonials here). As with many treatments though, results vary from person to person. Because Rebecca keeps thorough records of every individual’s treatment, future treatments can be optimised to the individual, for example by using a little more muscle relaxant if necessary to achieve the effect you want.
Can you tell me more about what is in the injections?
It is against the code of conduct of Medicines in the UK to advertise brands names of medical products but you can find out more about what the injections contain on the Allegan website.
Can I be sure that the treatment is safe?
Wrinkle injections are considered to be a very safe treatment and are approved by medical authorities in over 70 countries worldwide and have been used widely in UK hospitals since 1977 and in the cosmetic industry for the past 15 years. Rebecca is an experienced Harley Street trained Senior Nurse who puts your well being first at all times. All materials used by Rebecca have been rigorously tested and passed by the Therapeutics Goods Association and are proven to be extremely safe. Rebecca will undertake a full suitability assessment before treating you and will provide you with detailed advice about what to do in the highly unlikely event that you experience any side effects.
What are the risks / side effects?
The treatments offered at FAB Aesthetics have been rigorously tested and are proven to be extremely safe. More than ten million treatments have been administered in the United States alone, and no permanent side effects have ever been reported. Most people find that the injection causes only mild discomfort. The most common temporary side effects are soreness or, very occasionally, temporary bruising, redness or mild swelling at the site of injection. In some very rare cases patients have reported excessive relaxation (drooping) of the muscles in the eyelid, which is completely reversible. This may last a few weeks, but will always resolve. Special eye drops can be prescribed during this time. In extremely rare cases patients have developed an allergy to the treatment, while others have shown resistance, i.e. it causes little or no effect on the treated muscles. No long term side effects have been reported. Treatment is not recommended If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Will it make me look fake?
Rebecca takes great pride in the results of her work and you can be completely assured that she will administer your treatment with the utmost care, ensuring a natural, youthful look without telltale flatness.
What are HA Dermal Fillers?
HA dermal fillers are a man-made version of hyaluronic acid, a compound that our skin naturally makes on its own to retain water and keep our skin hydrated. The amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the body decreases significantly as we age; as a result the skin becomes dryer, thinner and less supple, rendering it increasingly prone to wrinkling. HA dermal fillers firm and cushion the soft tissues just beneath the skin, giving it back its youthful plumpness.
What can you treat with dermal fillers?
HA dermal fillers are ideal for adding volume replacement to cheekbones, cheeks, chins and lips.
How much HA dermal filler will I need?
During your consultation Rebecca will work with you to determine the right amount of HA dermal filler to give you the look you want. You can even begin with a small amount of facial HA dermal filler and build up step by step.
Is it safe to use dermal fillers?
Rebecca is an experienced Harley Street trained Senior Nurse who puts your well being first at all times. All materials used by Rebecca have been rigorously tested and passed by the Therapeutics Goods Association and are proven to be extremely safe. The HA dermal fillers used by Rebecca have been used around the world for more than 12 years. Because they are a man-made form of a substance that our bodies produce naturally, they are very safe and are not known to cause allergic reactions.
How do HA dermal fillers work?
HA dermal fillers cushion the soft tissue just beneath the skin, plumping and flattening age lines, creases and depressions. As well as giving you instantly younger-looking skin, the cushioning also prevents the skin from creasing and folding thereby providing significant protection from further ageing.
What happens during the procedure? Does it hurt?
During the treatment, Rebecca injects small amounts of dermal filler into the treatment area through a tiny needle. In most cases a mild local anaesthetic cream or ice means that the process is relatively painless (the anesthetic usually wears off in 30 to 40 minutes and most clients say there is no discomfort afterwards).
How long does the procedure take?
Most treatment sessions usually last about 30 minutes.
How long will it take to recover?
Most people are able to return to their normal routine immediately after treatment, and there is usually no discomfort. There can be some swelling and redness around the treatment area for a few hours, and some people notice a few tiny needle prick marks and some local bruising which can be easily masked with makeup. If you’re using fillers to plump up your lips, younger people will recover overnight, but some older people experience some swelling for two to three days.
Will you provide aftercare?
Of course. Rebecca is contactable on her mobile. If she is busy she will call you back so do leave a message.

Because Rebecca keeps thorough records of every individual’s treatment, future treatments can be optimised to the individual, for example by using a little more filler if necessary to achieve the effect you want.
How long will the effects last?
Because they mimic a naturally occurring body product, HA dermal fillers are slowly absorbed by the body and will require topping up after nine months to a year, depending on the type and the amount used and the site injected. The more filler you use, and the thicker and firmer version of the product, the longer it will remain in place. Additionally, the less the treated area moves, the longer the effects of the filler will last.
What are the possible side effects?
HA dermal fillers are considered a very safe treatment. A local anaesthetic cream or ice is used to minimize any discomfort at the time of injection. Bruising, redness and some slight swelling at the site of treatment does sometimes occur, although rarely lasts more than a few days. HA dermal fillers should not be used in patients with severe allergies, particularly those who have a history of anaphylaxis.
Post treatment care
Gentle massage of the treated skin is beneficial. However, you should not touch the area for at least six hours following treatment. The correct massage techniques will be demonstrated during your consultation.
